  1. Brought to you by those wonderful 'ammosexuals'. Enriching the ammo and gun makers and making us, all of us, pay for the fact that they have to live with a teeny wee-wee.......

  2. Federal law-enforcement statistics for the past several generations indicate that hardly anybody ever shoots up a place where they can expect every fourth of fifth adult to be carrying a gun. For example, the President lives in an houseful of people carrying pistols.

  3. The mass murders we've had seemed to be suicidal as well as murderous.

  4. Statistics are also that you will get hit by lightening as often as you might use a gun for self defense in your home.

  5. I believe our biggest problem is to require proper training before licensing anyone to buy firearms and to require simple locks on any guns not currently carried. Let's quit giving kids and those with MH issues EASY access to guns. Oh yeah, when was the last time you saw anyone hunting with a fully automatic gun?

  6. The prevalence of guns in our society is a big reason that we have so many people in prison.

  7. I don't know exactly what information surfaces on a background check. I think that a background check should be done on all persons trying to purchase a firearm. I am wondering if a gun seller could even find out if the person is being treated and on meds for a mental illness. You know HIPPA and perhaps other laws limit what anyone can find out about a person's medical records.

    1. good point sandy ann!

Myself, I think there's no real reason for ANYONE to have a gun, maybe a shotgun, for hunting or selfprotection, but that's it...
